Our Approach
Solna is built around a simple principle: projects run better when preparation happens before construction begins.
Through early discovery, realistic feasibility, and disciplined project planning, we help clients move into construction with a clear understanding of scope, budget, and priorities.
Thoughtful planning • Transparent budgets • Calm execution
The Solna Project Method
Every project follows a structured process designed to define scope, budget, and key decisions before construction begins.
This approach helps both clients and trades move forward with shared expectations and fewer surprises.
01 — Crafting Session
The process starts with an on-site discovery meeting where we measure the space, review existing conditions, and talk through your goals for the project.
During this visit we document the space through detailed measurements, photographs, and digital scanning to accurately capture existing conditions.
This conversation begins shaping the scope of work and identifying design considerations that may influence construction.
By the end of the session, we have a clear understanding of the space and the priorities that will guide the project forward.
02 — Feasibility
Solna prepares a feasibility report outlining potential scope and realistic budget ranges.
This report helps clients understand the construction approach, major cost drivers, and possible investment levels before moving forward with detailed planning.
Feasibility allows projects to move forward with clarity rather than guesswork.
03 — Project Development
Once feasibility is complete, some projects benefit from additional planning, investigation, and coordination before construction begins.
During this phase, Solna may coordinate design development, site investigation, consultant and engineering services, permit planning, and detailed scope refinement based on the needs of the project.
Project Development helps transform an initial concept into a defined plan with greater clarity around scope, budget, constructability, and project requirements.
By the end of this phase, clients have the information, documentation, and project definition needed to confidently move forward with construction, whether with Solna or another qualified contractor.
04 — Execution
During construction, Solna manages the project with structured communication, schedule tracking, and careful coordination of trades.
Our goal is to create a construction experience that feels organized, predictable, and collaborative from start to completion.
Construction is not separate from design — it is its realization.
Project & Operations Support
In select cases, this work extends beyond a single project.
Solna offers behind-the-scenes support to trade partners and select projects seeking greater structure, clarity, and alignment before or during construction.
For trade partners, the focus centers on operational and project systems — implementing practical processes for estimating, job tracking, scheduling, invoicing, and overall workflow.
For select homeowners, this may take the form of project management or design and construction guidance, bringing clarity to scope, decision-making, and overall direction.
In some cases, Solna serves in an owner’s representative role — acting as a steady, experienced presence to help navigate construction, advocate for the client’s interests, and support a more organized, predictable experience from start to finish.
Engagements are taken on a limited, case-by-case basis to ensure the work remains focused, intentional, and genuinely useful.
